In 2022, I worked on developing the front end structure for Rivian midsize SUV (R2) through first principles with finite element analysis in various levels including component, sub-system and full vehicle.

I have closely cooperated with design studio, test center, packaging and manufacturing teams for numerous iterations to bring the most optimum design which meets all attributes.

Static and low-speed load cases are my mainly focus areas. I have delivered cost efficient structure that meets low speed targets and balanced requirements for other loading modes such as high-speed crash, and pedestrian protection, etc.

Rivian R2 was first revealed to the public on March 7th, 2024.
