Hi, I’m Zheng (pronounced as IPA: /ʈʂʊŋ/; syllables: zh as in “genre”, eng as in “lung”), PhD in mechanical engineering. My professional expertise is focused on adopting finite element analysis (FEA) method for product development. I have lead programs as the core contributor such as Tesla new Model Y, Cybercab, Cybertruck, Rivian R1T, R2, and Jaguar Land Rover battery etc. In my own research, I have developed my own constitutive material model with anisotropic plastic hardening and strain-rate effect; validated with high correlation and successfully implemented. During my PhD research, I have also participated in several government projects from North Carolina Department of Transportation (NCDOT) as first investigator at research assistant side.
